What size is the factory ballast hose? Looked like 1"? Noticed a few post showing a 1 way valve, has anyone tried it without it? I need to get everything coming and the boat is at our cabin thanks for any help

If you are tapping into the drain line off the hard tank like this, yes you will want a 1 way check valve. Adding the check valve prevents the water to circulate back into the bag. It won't harm anything if you don't add it but it will take a lot longer to drain the bag and tank. Hose is 1&1/8th.ImageImage

My setup is a little different but it works great as well:

I removed the vent hose from the hard tank and put it on top of the bag. Then I Y-ed into the fill hose and put one end on the hard tank (where it used to be) and one end on the other top port of the bag. Both bag drains go into the hard tank. Worked perfectly for the past 3 years in my 2014 A22.

So I only vent from the bag but I suppose that's fine since the air will always go out the top and can exit the hard tank via the two hoses that come from the bags (bag drains) and then out the bag vent.

Thanks, I got everything coming...... Hopefully, I ordered it all from wakemakers and you can't seem to get anyone in customer service on the phone and they didn't answer my question online, let's just say I'm less than happy with there customer service, but they've got the best selection of parts, so I'm stuck. Thanks again for the replies

Yes, if you do this you can just forget about the bags until they start overflowing out of the drain and 3/4 hard tank through holes.

Where is everyone buying the one way valve? Doing this to just rear bags or horseshoe front bag as well?

Thanks

Just the rear bags, wakemakers has everything you'll need.

Maybe check bakesonline, they don't have the selection of wakemakers but they do have the stuff and they're competent, wakemakers are still jacking me around and have zero customer service. My order has said processing for 2 days and no one answers the phone or replies online. I'm giving them today to get back with me,then I'm canceling and going elsewhere if I can even do that.
