The Boat: 2015 A-22 w/5.7l

The Situation: When I was at my local dealer picking up a part a few days ago, he tried to sell me on a v-drive fluid service for about $150. When I got home, I read the manual and everything I saw indicated that as long as the fluid level is within spec, it does not require a fluid change.

The Question: Does it need to be changed or is he just trying to take my $150?

My dealer does it as part of the 25hr service and doesn't touch it again.

Same here. As long as the fluid level is good and the fluid is clear my dealer won't touch it.

Thank you! I'll check the level/color and go from there.

In a high hours boat it’s considered to be an annual service you perform yourself easily and cheaply , much cheaper than a more frequent oil change interval
