Got sumo 900s in our T22. Used one day, I can see that they are total overkill. Would like to trade for a pair of like new sumo 450s or 600s.

Do you surf? If so keep the 900s you will not have near the push or wave size. It's only overkill if you don't ride. Weight is key in these boats I run 1100s in my T23 and still add extra sacs.

yeah gibbs, I understand I am potentially leaving something on the table. I'm fine with that. I was fine with the 900s half full. Don't want to run exposed ballast in the bow, and if we were more than half full the bow rise was ridiculous.

So just curious what your plan is? 450's in the rear, and the bow bag that only fills to ~250? Plus tanks obviously but what about wedge? Any pics of the wave with this little weight?

It's your call. I run 1100s rear. Bow sac full under seat with 100lbs lead in the nose all tanks full and about 450 in the front walkway. At times I also run 2 more 400s. Weight is key with surfing.

t23 has a lot more boat in front of the drivetrain (effectively bow weight).

yes to wedge. also running 150 in lead in the bow in addition to the puny under seat bow bag.

Will take pics next time out. I was able to get great air and even hit my grabs. We were running @12 according to z.o.

Cool! Look forward to pics. You're clearly better at surfing than me or have a better wave/board as I've got to keep pumping to stay on the wave. Do you surf regular or goofy?

Shawn - I know it's not what you are asking for but I was going to start looking for some sumo 900's to replace my fly high 750's. If your interested drop me an email at ndahlberg12@gmail.com
