I just purchased a used 2011 A20 and want to remove the plug and play ballast bags in the rear. Is there anything special I need to do to remove them like closing off the hoses or do I just disconnect the hose attachments and that is it?

New to this stuff and don't want the boat filling up with water if I use the hard tanks without the bags.

Thanks.

Can u post a pic of the connection point? You may have to make a plug using a flyhigh 1" male and a 3/4 cap.

steveA20,

Here are some pics. I'm assuming that the one in the first pic that is under the bag and toward the front of the boat is a drain hose. The second pic with the hoses with blue are labeled the Fill and Vent hoses.

Thanks for the help.

You'll want to trace the fill hose back to the pump. There should be a vent loop (upside down U shaped pipe) and there may also be a Y valve if they've split your fill lines for the bag and hard tank. If not, you'd have to connect the fill hose that you see to the drain hose.

Have you looked through this thread - viewtopic.php?f=14&t=137?
