Post subject: | Questions about A22 shift knob |
I have a 2014 A22 and would like to replace the shift knob. But when I took it off and checked the threads I could not figure out what they were. It fit best on 3/8-24 threads. But not perfect. Is it some tapered thread? Thanks! Salem |

Yes - tapered. I replace mine with heavier standard Malibu knob: http://www.bakesonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=2643 Bakes also sells an adapter to standard shift knobs. |

Thanks for the info. When I looked up that knob it says it fits any Morse MV2/MV3 control. And when I look up Morse MV2 most references say the thread is 3/8 24. So it sounds like it isn't actually tapered (but I could be wrong). Here are some more examples: http://www.skidim.com/Morse-Control_Shi ... ucts/1122/ |

I took some calipers to the threads and they are not tapered. I think it is just straight 3/8 24. |
