Awesome! Did you make the whole thing from just one sheet of that plastic?

I used a piece I had left over that was bigger but if you lay it out right you can make it with one 12x24 inch sheet

Awesome work Walter! Lets see some water tests!! also will it float?

Nope it sinks, I just ran a thin rope through the handle and tie it to the cleat directly above it when attached

My Suck-gate uses the surfstow handle - floats and stainless springs (no rust issues).

Got the design from "bet-on-black" in the mastercraft forum. Nice and compact:

So much smaller than the fake-gate:

Wave is taller and steeper with suck-gate:

Surf regular side for 1st time ever:

Anyone want to buy my old surfgate for a gen 1 swim platform?

@Bhowell Fixed (i think). Google photos is such a PITA. My A22 is loaded with 100% full ballast, wedge down, and 2 adults in the boat in those pics. 11mph goofy side and 10.4mph on regular.

Just hit up BoB via PM on the other forum. He makes these quite regularly. And for what you can get it from him shipped versus making one is well worth it. I made one and will not make one again for how good his works and how light it is compared to the one I made.

I made a suck gate as well. No cutting or measuring involved.
Bought the heavy duty suction cup handle, a cutting board on Amazon, then I bought two L shaped shelf brackets, and 1/4 inch stainless steel hardware from Home Depot. The angle is adjustable too.

Here is my a22 with rear tanks removed and 700# bags in the lockers and the front tank and bag full, about 2300-2400 total weight and wedge down, 2 adults and 2 children in the boat, today I may add more weight but it surfs so easy now I really don't think I need to add anymore, I still have 2-400's and an 1100 I can use. Now I need a smaller board, I had to get way on the front of this old hyperlite landlock just to keep up the speed
