Prion, how do you have it attached to the HOD? What is that screw/bolt going from one "leg" to the other under the handle? Do you have holes drilled through the cups under the gusset supports with a bolt?
Looks good. Thanks for posting. I will be making a few this week. 1 for me & another for a friend.

I had to change my cup to the harbor freight one. The HOD was not strong enough. That said, I originally had screws through the cups but they are not needed. Now I am using 2 bolts and a screw. The screw is through the center of the hdpe that runs along the handle. The screw is under the handle squeezing the 2 sides together. Then I have a bolt through bolted on each end running through the hdpe and red plastic on the handle.

Thanks. Sounds like I need to go to harbor freight & return the HOD to Amazon.
I looked on Harbor Freight web site, the handle listed there only has a lift capacity of 125lb, the HOD has 200lb. Does Harbor freight have a heavier duty one in store, that is not on web? What lift capacity should we be looking for?

Post up some pics of yours and some specs. I am looking to copy it. I am making one that I can let some friends borrow which may pay dividends when I want to ride on their boat.

Will do. I'll take one of it vs. the "poor gate" I'm currently running. I made it to try on my friends Moomba & another friends 2011 LSV. I might just like it better on my A22. We shall see.
