While I'm tackling my winter projects, I'm looking to see what it's going to take to wire in a 12 volt accessory outlet into the glove box on a 2011 A20. I would like to tap into the fuse panel, but it seems to be easier to just run a dedicated wire to the battery. Has anyone ever done this?

I'm looking at getting this. http://www.amazon.com/Charger-Socket-Ma ... op?ie=UTF8

But I might have to run it off the fuse panel because the USB outlets are always on, which can drain the battery.

Let me know your opinion and if there is an easy way to tap into the key switch or something else that will prevent draining the battery.

I would wire to battery switch so you can charge when boat is off but I always turn batteries off when not on the water.
