Put my own spin on all of the posts on poor gate. Worked out pretty well, just need to add the rubber pipe against the hull and cutting the bolts off for the cam lock clamps. Thanks for all of the input on different posts and R&D from Joey!!

That looks really sharp. Are those bulkhead unions going through the platform?

The fittings going through the platform are 1/2 inch thru hull fittings cut to length. I used a schedule 80 threaded coupling underneath to connect them. I had to shape the coupling to fit tight between the fiberglass. To shim the inside face I used a piece of the 1 inch starboard from the surf gate paddle and bevelled it at 17 degrees. All total the fittings were 10 bucks! The thru hull fittings also hold the gate off of the platform when connected so there is no chance of rubbing.

Thanks Axissteve. Cleanest looking install that I've seen. The dimensions of your "wave shaping device" are from this forum?

1joeyh if I could duplicate a surf wave like that I'd be smiling ear to ear.

What cam locks did you use? I like how clean it looks without the unit in place
