Axis Steve nice instal my friend! Iam about to install mine in the next week, ready to get rid of the old wood clamps and get these put on for good. This looks really clean and if you could give us a little more info on how you did it and maybe a picture from the bottom that would be awesome!

Im about to start this too. Wondering if anyone else noticed that one of the dimensions in the template provided in another thread are incorrect. The bottom measurement of 17.5 inches works out to 16.5 inches by my math. Everything else is spot on. Maybe I made two mistakes

The fittings going through the platform are 1/2 inch thru hull fittings cut to length. I used a schedule 80 threaded coupling underneath to connect them. I had to shape the coupling to fit tight between the fiberglass. To shim the inside face I used a piece of the 1 inch starboard from the surf gate paddle and bevelled it at 17 degrees. All total the fittings were 10 bucks! The thru hull fittings also hold the gate off of the platform when connected so there is no chance of rubbing.

AXISSTEVE (or anyone who can answer) - Is the bottom of your swim platform solid? You stated that you put a coupling between the fiberglass. just trying to picture if you went from the bottom and if so how. I have a 2012 and the bottom of my platform is solid.

Thanks

Steve, did you make your own, or did you buy a Wicked Wave & modify it. I like your bracket. How it is hallow to hide the bolt heads. What fasteners did you use on the threaded end? Is you swim deck the solid version? Looks great. Now, I want to do the same.
