I have a 2016 A22 Axis which I had the "special" carpet put in. It is the soft wiry stuff they offer for extra $$$$. Anyhow, I had a gas can in the boat traveling across the bay. The can leaked a bit of gas on the carpet. Not more than an hour and after cleaning the carpet in the lake it has become really HARD and stiff. Like a chemical reaction... Wife is not happy.. any ideas here on what I can do to soften up the carpet to regular use.
I appreciate it.

Is it the Deckadence carpet? Where is the stain/hardened area?
