Gator looks great but can't do that stuff for the floor in Texas. Been burning my feet on my platform since early April. |

I'm in GA and I can say that my gray T22 swim platform gets so hot I need to drop the rear when anchored to keep it wet. Wetting it down will not keep it cool enough. I'm convinced it will burn somebody. Whatever that material is has a high heat transfer rate. There is no way that would work inside the boat. Is the Gator Step the same way? My buddy has an older Malibu with black rubber on his swim platform and that can be walked on. It's the material more than the color. On a parallel note, any comments about getting the black factory pieces for the bow and gunwales? I didn't know it was an option until I saw it on one at the 2016 boat show. When I looked at mine again I noticed that I have it on the back edge under the sun pad. Black would be worse for heat absorption but may not cook hands/feet the way the other stuff does. |

The soft foam Sea-deck Axis used to use like in 2011 and older was better in hot climates. Even the standard carpet gets pretty hot in June, July, Aug, and Sept in Texas but the platform material nowadays is crazy hot to where you can literally only stand on it dry for a few seconds. |
