Just wondering what you guys think about the dual battery option. I have an a22 with audio pkg 2 and I'm wondering if I need the extra battery. I also might only install the switch with my single battery so that I can kill the power after each day of use. How hard would the install be if I do it myself. Any info would be great Thanks

It depends on how you use your boat. If you hang out and listen to your stereo for extended periods of time you should definitely add a second battery. It is an easy install (just a tight quarters sitting in the storage locker) - Diagram one is the on I used to hook up the second battery. http://www.perko.com/images/catalog/pdf ... 0(8500INS1).pdf

I understand how it works but Im just not sure if this is a task that I should tackle myself. A local dealer said $300 for the install they are not an axis dealer they deal in tige, but they are very good with service.

I was a little nervous about it as well, but as long as you double check everything- there's no need to pay 300 for it. Hook engine starter to common, terminal 1 to starter battery, terminal 2 to accessory (stereo) battery. I'd also run your main power for your amps straight from the common lead as well.
Save the extra $$$ for a couple beers after the job!

It is a very easy install. I install for a living, dont be intimidated by this one. I still need to install the 2nd batt to my switch.

What brand battery switch comes on from the factor. I think it is blue sea system but I'm not sure. Also I might install a auto charger with the switch what do you guys recommend.
