I did the same w the 2012 sub footwell. I moved mine from the dry storage area and built a closed box to the appropriate specs for internal cubic feet and placed it under the dash. It made a huge difference and it's only a 10" sub. I liked the extra bass so much that I picked up a more powerful 10" sub (and amp) and put it back in the original box in the dry storage.

Nice setup. I do audio installs for a living. So if you have any wiring questions I can help. Are you going to run the sub free air? If you can take pictures of your sub install. Im interested as to what everyone is doing. I bought the 2012 sub face for under the steering wheel. I have not built the enclosure I want behind it. I am moving it from under the glove box. A few people on here use EQ's; however, if your amps are wired correctly it would be set up like my boat. My cabin speakers are wired from the output of the sony radio and the towers are on the rear output. I just fade it front or rear. Then you will have the seperate subwoofer level control to.

That works, but I'd prefer a quick knob on an eq to achieve zone control between cabins and tower. You can always go with something like a Kicker ZXM-RLC or a simple PAC LC-1 as well.

Trying to save cash I did exactly that. I installed the PAC LC-1. Works great although someday I'd like to get a true Eq.

Im putting in an Exile xi12 sub. Scream marine is making me a custom ported box. Gibster thanks for the help offer I will prob need it. Still waiting on my tower clamps and enclosure. The first set of clamps I got from Exile didn't fit my tower. Brian is working on getting me the correct ones.

Earmark Marine just made me a custom reflex enclosure that has a rectangular port. That box with sub is stupid loud, clear, deep, and hits tight.

I'll take pics tomorrow Matt, I don't have my boat storage keys with me in my commuter car. Saying this box is impressive is an understatement. I was considering a new JL sub but after the box build and just the OEM sub David and the crew said "why?" you would seriously think I was running a very expensive sub and a very powerful amp. Truth is it's just the MTX sub and the factory MTX amp and it's ridiculous lol.

Easiest would be under the chillax walkway to the bow. You should have holes through there for ballast/electrical.
