I just bought an 2013 Axis A22 and it has the fresh air exhaust. I’m going to remove it and go back to a regular flapper exhaust cover. Thoughts?

Let’s hear why you want to take it off?

Impossible to get to the pinch pins on the wedge is my only reason. Ant use the little hatch to drop it. You must get in the water and dive under the swim deck.

I have a 2015, no FAE, and I drop mine while floating behind the boat before riding. I almost never use the little door.

Do you surf at all?

Yeah we only surf. I guess I was trying to stay out of the water when just my daughters are surfing that day. Maybe I just need a power wedge lol.

I don't think I will own another boat without one. They are worth the extra hassle it takes to lower the wedge. I have sold a couple of my friends on them as well.

That's irritating (to have to get in the water to drop the wedge) but probably the sort of first world problem I'd live with for the benefits of the FAE, assuming no other big FAE issues (spray/loss of top end).

What boat do you have? You can have it if you pay the shipping.

Is it single or dual outlet?

Wow! That's really generous! I have a 16 with surfpipe (PCM's version of FAE) so I don't need it but thanks for the offer!
