Depends on the guy.. box anchor is a great idea. Also these are very popular on the boat..

Careful on the colster though... Ultra and Premier cans (skinny) do not work w/o a special gadget from eBay FYI.

Yeah I'd say a box anchor or else we'd need more information from the OP. New life vest? The 2013 head unit doesn't have built in bluetooth. I'd replace with the 99$ exile unit, but thats a project if he isn't handy. Installing the other exile BT unit is pretty easy and would stop him from replacing the head unit. If he is really into his sport and understands the value of bow ballast in the boat I'd consider a on-seat bow bag with a pump. He could later replace that pump with a reversible. Again, if he likes projects or not.
