Looking at a 2011 axis a22 for my first boat. It has been very well maintained but it does have 655 hours on it. I want to wakeboard and did with my kids. I have seen other comments about the older hull and not as good as a surf wave so wondering if I should wait on a new one to come around. Any input is very appreciated.

I have a 2011. Surfs great with the Mission Delta suction cup device.

They’re great boats. As always depends on overall condition.

X2 on what boardjnky4 said. 2011 a 22 vandell. Love my boat with mission delta. 1100 sacs in the rear with front arrow sac under seats and it surfs great.

Thanks guys. I have seen the other wave devices but not the mission, I will check that out. Always skeptical from adds but good to know from people that have used them. The hours are really the biggest thing I am a hung up on. Just a lot of money and just want to make a good decision.

I have sold a number of the Misson but have sold way more of the Nauticurl due to price. The Nauticurl is hard to pass up at the price.

I have a 2012 A22 (same hull, etc.) and I’m pushing 400 hours. I wouldn’t be too concerned with 655 hours as long as it’s been serviced regularly, well-maintained and in a condition that reflects it. The wakeboard wake and surf wave is good. We use a device for surfing that I bought on eBay. Give this thread a little time and there’s sure to be some “don’t buy anything without surfgate” comments.

Just wait until you can get a boat with a surf system. It will be worth more in the long run and save you headaches on trying to set up for surfing. Also depends on how much this boat is
