Hello,
I am new to this forum, and I am looking for some advice. I have the opportunity to get a loaded A24 vandall edition with a 450 engine,1100 lbs rear bags, or get a T23 with a 409. both are 2017 new. the T23 doesn't have docking lights, and it has stereo package 1. Basic trailer. My family will use this primary for surfing roughly 4 people in boat...only paying 2000 more for the A24. Thoughts? I am coming from a 2013 centurion fx22.

For only a 2k difference I'd go A24 all day SP3 is about a 5k option and the 450 is a nice upcharge plus you get the tricked out trailer.

A24 definitely is the better deal. I prefer the 23 surf wave over the old a24 hull. I have a 16’ 23 I’m selling now and the surf wave is off the charts. Both waves are very similar.

It is really a personal preference I guess. Setup has a lot to do with it. Mine has 1100’s extra sacs and lead and it is amazing. I’ve rode the A24 many times also and it’s a great wave.

The A24 has at least $11K in upgrades over the T23. The hulls are totally different between the two boats and both are first generation for their respective models. Both got updated hulls in 2018.

Biggest isn't necessarily best in surf waves. Shape, push, and pocket all contribute to making a good wave.

The 2018 T23 didn't get a new hull this year. The 2018 T22 and A24 did.
