Can you simply unclip and then take the bags out of the rear lockers and leave the P&P tubing free, without issues of leakage. Specifically a recent model Axis with factory P&P?

Yes you can. Most boats are shipped this way.

Hi Johnny
I agree, it can’t have saved them much money by getting the tubing back, considering the labour time.
As far as I am aware P&P uses the preexisting infill and outflow pumps already attached to the hard tanks. It piggybacks off these. So they remain.

Yes. All PNP boats ship that way from the factory b/c PNP bags are an "at the dealer" add on (like batteries). There are "dummy plugs" that get plugged into the ends of the PNP plumbing that would otherwise connect to the bag.

I'd be very surprised if your bow ballast pump and plumbing weren't already installed as well.

All the wiring is there ready for bow ballast, but no pumps.

So it was pretty cynical of them pulling all the P&P plumbing rather than just capping them off!

I would say yes.. they more or less removed a factory installed part.. are you sure they actually pulled the pumps and lines not just the bags? Really though not hard or that expensive to add the stuff back..
