| Post subject: | Carpenter Ants |
Put boat in the water this weekend after two weeks covered up on trailer in my driveway. Tons huge carpenter ants stated coming out of everywhere while we were running across the lake. All but me jumped out while I swatted ants. Found two pods of eggs in corners under the seats, probably a thousand eggs each, looked like piles of rice. I spayed ant killer everywhere, and spent an hour cleaning dead ants and eggs. Later that day, again, more coming from under the deck. Any ideas on best way to kill these ants and keep them out? I think that came into the boat through the plug hole which I always remove when stored. We've had tons of rain here and ground is super saturated; they must have found the high ground in my boat. |

had the same thing happen in my fishing boat... I put amdro pellets in the transom and sprayed around the wheels like r33pwrd suggested. Takes a long time to get them all and its messy... good luck. |
