I turn the ignition and nothing happens,the batteries are on...... any ideas?

Make sure your battery cables are tight. I had mine randomly come loose on both batteries at about 200 hrs

By completely dead I suppose you mean nothing happens at all. But I am not sure. So here is a list of questions that will help to tie this down a little better.

If you turn the key to the ON position, does anything come on? Gauges? How about the radio? If nothing comes on, the problem is between the batter and the dash board in cables, fuses, and such. Make sure you also verify ground cables. Use a meter to find the "open".

If the above works and the gauges wake up but the engine does not crank, check neutral safety switch and lanyard first.

With those new clues, it will be easier to guide through the trouble shooting...
