Why do yall waste money on non-ethanol gas? All marine engines since 2007 have been engineered to work just fine with ethanol gas. I've spoken directly to PCM about this. They claim it's a waste.
Because I will not let ethanol fuel sit up( it separates when the non petroleum ethanol degrades) we are year round here but in 15 I broke my femur bad and lost 6+ months plus 4 winter spring months the wife didn't want to
Surf. So my boat had same fuel in tank that I used to start it every two weeks. I've had times with my old outboard where it sat and just needed a fresh battery to start, no issues ever with the fuel degradation here in an extremely moist climate. My Harley sits for long times with same fuel non ethanol . You never know. I am convinced I get good rates per hour in a small yet inefficient monsoon 330 during listed surfing, less if we barge and don't list with non. I won't experiment with ethanol(not once in the boats 3.5 years) so I may be making a baseless claim.
