Last night while out surfing, the boat started throwing the low oil pressure warning on the dash when a surfer would fall and let off the throttle. Under load, the PSI ranges from 40-50, but at idle it's dipping extremely low, as low as 1-2 PSI. Checked everything- oil level fine, no oil on the engine or in the engine bay. The only spot was just a touch of fluid that came out from the pressure valve on the transmission, not even enough fluid to drop down in the water below. Pressure valve feels like it's always open, not sure if it should be like that or not.

Any suggestions? Boat currently parked and won't be used again until this is addressed.

Boat is 2016 T22. No issues to date.

Edit: Just took the boat out, despite my note about it being currently parked ;). Started it up and the pressure was good, idle at 30-ish psi. So decided to take it out around the bay, for first 5 mins everything ran great and oil pressure was right where it should be under load and at idle. After 10-15 mins, when I would stop the boat, it started happening again. Would dip down to 2-4 psi for a second, which throws the warning.

Do you have the 350? If so how many hours since last oil change and how much oil have you added since? Could be a number of things but the 350 is notorious for burning oil at a pretty good pace and if you are surfing alot your viscosity is most likely below the norm after 35-40 hours.

The boat has been serviced within the last 30 hours and topped off with oil. I am thinking either an oil pump or oil pressure sending unit. Seems premature for an oil pump to go out but you never know

Under warranty, right? Have you contacted the dealer?
