Did anybody ever find a company or did someone ever make the aftermarket swim platform for the 1st gen Axis boats? can't find anything online that advertises them ... I'm sure a new one is a chunk of $$$$

I bought one from Malibu through a dealer last year for my 2011. Cost I want to say was $1,000.

$1000 would be crazy cheap as dealer cost isn't much below that plus most dealers want to charge shipping because of weight and size. I ordered the 2nd gen platform for my 2011 and it was around $1200. I've read on here up to $1400-$1500. There a company that can make you one out of teak for $500-ish

I was expecting in the $1500 + range ..... don't have a good relationship with my dealer as his service was terrible and I have ripped him for it. Don't see the teak looking so good on my boat. Maybe ill seek out a body shop that is good at fiberglass and just have them modify my platform .... I don't know what else to do

I just looked I paid $1,205 with shipping included. I had to explain to the dealer that my 2011 would fit the 2012-2014 style platform because the A22 was unchanged through the 09-14 years. They had to reach out to Malibu Engineers and they weren't sure either (not surprised). Don't be surprised if you can't get it though because they might have gotten rid of the swim platform mold. If you have any further questions just let me know and maybe I could help you out. If they say it can't but done it most certainly can be done. You could even put a 2014 platform that had surfgate if you wanted. . . they sent me that one to begin with. All you would have to do is cut the angle iron that holds the platform down a couple of inches. Good Luck. It does help the surf wake quite a bit. I still ended up getting a nauticurl though. Might want to go that route first if you want one for surfing.
