Thanks for the pics. Yes it is a pita to clean out the gunk without a strainer. I have to pull the hose from the water pump, stick a hose in there and flush all the crap out. Appreciate the feedback I will order one today.

finally got the strainer it was on back order. super easy install... can't believe i went this long without it.
