It looks like I am going to have to replace one of my lenco tabs on my surfgate. Mine stopped working in the out position and won't retract back in. How hard is it to replace the actuator? It looks pretty simple. Any advice? Edit as of 7/19/2017 I didn't enjoy paying $466 for the dealer to install a simple actuator on my surf gate so afterwards I did a little research. My 2014 Axis A22 uses the actuator below (15059-001). Check the link below on for your tab to ensure it isn't the fast model. Hopefully this helps others save a couple of bucks that can go towards gas and other repairs instead. Unpin the connector unbolt actuator and remove, it's easy. 3m 5200 around the harness where it enters transom Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

I am guessing the actuator is proprietary to Axis and I must go through a dealer to get one? |

So if the surfgate gets stuck open and computer reset doesn't fix the problem is there any way to manually get the gate to close and save a day in the water? |

Most actuators are threaded internally so if you unbolt it you can spin them back in unless something broke and put it in a bind Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

I did this action this morning and got the gate in now. It will get us out on the water till I can get a new one in. The bad part is I won't be able to get a replacement till July 11th. Apparently Malibu is shutdown for inventory and vacation till then. |
