As we all know our boats only come with a ladder if ordered with one which is very rare so I have always carried a small 3 step ladder for people to board at the ramp etc. Well 2 weeks ago we came home and I pulled the ladder out and removed everything from the boat. Then covered it and backed it into its spot not even thinking about that little 3 step ladder. Well that little ladder got bound up under the platform a bit as I forgot about it and it did a bit of damage all the way to the platform pad. Luckily I have done way way way too much glass work and plenty of gel work, so I figured now is the time for a ladder so I can take out our parents out with their granddaughter a few times, as they are all in their 60's and I know my dad misses the water and is the reason I am into boating. It is not finished yet but I will post updates until it is finished. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

Sanded but still needs a bit more gel before I am happy with it and sand some more and buff it out Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

And since we are trying to save for a houseboat I'm giving it a shot at doing my own platform pad from sheet material to save a couple hundred. If I'm not happy with it I will order gatorstep. This is where I am currently at and will update as I finish it up. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

And I'm sure someone will ask why I have so much glass experience, here is just one boat I've done stringers, transom and floor in, Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |

Can u still get your hand down to drop the wedge? I have some older family members so I'm hoping to try this if it doesn't mess up the wave? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

A few people on here have ladders and no interference with the wave/wake and it does not get in the way of dropping the wedge for me which I rarely do anyways. That little bar is in the opening a bit but unless you have huge arms there is still plenty of room Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |
