I do run wedge all the way down. All stock tanks full, 1100's in rear lockers, 1150 on surfside seat and 750 in the bow. Gonna actually put a 1000 triangle in the bow and see how that goes. As of now I can surf about 20' back and recover with just the front foot

I also run the 2419, '16 A24 with the 410. Awesome all around prop.

I've got an acme 2391 if someone is looking for a 15" x 14.25. Used once, $500 shipped. Same as 2249/2247 just with less cup. It's just a touch more aggressive than I was looking for.

I am a novice to the prop sizes, what do you mean when it's too aggressive?

Any input would be appreciated. We wakeboard, surf and cruise all about the same amount of time. I have a 17 A22 with the 409, with 850 in the rear and the 390 plug and play for ballast. New to surfing so not set on having the wedge, still playing around with it. I do put about 600 pounds of fat sac in the walkway. We are about 750ft of elevation if that makes a difference. When I wakeboard I like the wedge with the hard tanks full.

I am looking at getting a backup prop. I bent a blade on our last trip and to get them reworked is about a week for the guy I use. We still have some drift this year with heavy rains we have been getting.

Is it still for sale?

I usually assume too aggressive means too "low pitch" which equals torque and power out of the hole but also mean higher rpms for a given speed and lower top end.

I *think* (you should verify) cup effectively increases pitch. So a 2247 with .150 pitch will run lower rpms and higher top end but have less torque out of the hole than a 2391 which is the same diameter and pitch but has .075 cup. Again I maybe FOS on that.

FWIW I have a 15 A22, monsoon 350. I have a 2249 on it now which is same pitch as 2391 but a little more cup at .105 theoretically making it effectively have a little more pitch. I really like it. Ballast is all hard tanks and all PNP with 750 rears. Surfs great. I wakeboard wedge down and full ballast except the rear bags are probably 1/3 full. Planes fine. Top end is 37-38 unloaded so still can cruise ok without being strung out obnoxious. I used to have a 2313 which is much lower pitch and would jump out of the hole even fully loaded, but buzzed high rpms and maxed out at 33ish was pretty annoying at cruising speeds.

Yeah on a 17 (1.72:1 tranny) at low elevation the only reason to go with a 2391 would be that you are trying to pull a house. Your RPMs would be very high but you'd also probably be able to push almost any weight config.

Thanks for the response. I don't think that would be a good fit for how we boat. I found a guy selling a 1235 for $375. Do you have an opinion on this? He selling it with a case and prop pull kit which I don't need, so I was going to offer $275 if looks in decent shape

I'd really stick with a 15" diameter prop if it were me.
