I'm seriously looking at the T23 and trying to decide what a good price is off MSRP. It seems like everyone says 15-25% with 15 being minimum, 20 good deal and 25 a great deal. My dealer has a 2017 T23 thats pretty close to what I want and debating on getting it vs building my own 2018. What would you expect off MSRP considering the 17 is almost last years model and what % off have you gotten on a new build.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

All depends on your dealer and how bad they want to sell boats. Trust me there making plenty even at 25% off msrp the mark up is crazy on these boats. You will get more off on a hold over or in stock boat in most cases but again it just depends on dealer.

Just remember, they are not even close to hurting on the 17s just because they are 17s yet.

My only suggestion is, don't push so hard you piss your dealer off.... you will need them eventually... always do.

I would personally wait until the '18s are introduced and you can see what the differences are. I am hearing pretty big changes for Axis but my dealer won't confirm other than a smile. Even if you don't want the new offerings it will help with prices on a '17 plus you will be able to go out of area easier.

Your dealer wont be desperate to sell off a 2017 until they are a few months into 2018 and then it depends on how many 2017's they have to sell. My dealer is the 3rd or 4th largest Malibu/Axis dealer in the country. A couple months into 2017 they had at least 15 leftover 2016 Malibus and a 3-4 2016 Axis, deals were there to be made. There is usually at least a 4-5% markup every year.

Just curious how negotiating a price that still has a decent amount of mark up would piss a dealer off so bad that it would hurt my ability to get the required service in the future. I want them to make money just don't want them to make too much on me. Yea may wait a little longer we shall see. I like my dealer or at least the salesman so far.

If T23's are selling in the 80s is that list or after discount? I'm looking at pricing stuff out on seedealercost and for what I'd want 15% off would be like right at 70k? 20% off would be mid 60s? Is that was these are selling for or are prices people are seeing just list?

I have the same question. Was looking at one that listed at 85k and assuming the 15-25% off we should expect to pay between 63.8-72.2K? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. This will be MY first wake boat and trying to navigate the pricing.

No way you are walking out the door on one for 63.8 - 72.2.... that's my insight.
