Or since they installed a new hull maybe they should have dewinterized the engine and test run the boat to be sure it all works before sending it back to me.

I'm surprised more people aren't shocked after such a big repair the factory would not test the installation.

I'd be willing to bet money they did lake test it and then winterized it after it was done.

That is industry standard practice.

Imo The dealer or axis should have put a big old sticker or in my dealers case a bag zip tied to the throttle with the plugs and what noot in it and a bit red sticker that says winterized.

They could have then winterized it after?

So your thinking they winterized the boat the last week of May ? to deliver it south?

FACT: For the boating 101 comments. I am positive I spent more time wrenching, owning and living on boats than 99.9% of the KeyBoard Boat Genious's here, congrats to the .01% here that has done more.
Thanks, RANT OVER , enjoy your day and go boating

Thanks for the congrats. I would be willing to bet that I've been rolling glass and wrenching on boats since before you were born.

I doubt you've been rolling glass before I was born, now if you had said you had been planking before I was born, that could be.
But fiberglass hasn't really been around that long in production boats, I think the first sailboat was mid to late 50's and power early 60's
glass really didn't take off with most builders until the 70's , I think Don Aronow was building Thunderbird boat around '66 if my memories right.
My neighbor Cornelius Nathanial Ray better known as Connie and more well known as the founder of SeaRay Boats built a 16' runabout in his garage in Oxford Mi. that was very eary glass 1959....
And I've owned a lot of Sea Ray glass............growing up in Michigan it was the local boat of choice.
So even if your a fiberglass pioneer, you still haven't been rolling any glass before I was born , however I'll still give ya the .01

The earliest known composite boat was built in 1937. The 1st using polyester resin in 1942 and the builder went into production at that time. The next manufacturer to begin production was in 1947.

My point is this. You jump on here and start spouting off on how you have so much more experience than anyone else on here because you do not like what you are hearing. The fact is that you have no clue who the people are who are posting.

Welcome to the internet bud. If you don't want to hear a dissenting opinion I suggest you sign off.

All dealers or factories should put a sticker etc. but the first time my boat went they unwinterized it in august still in the 90's around here and they have our same weather as their only a few hrs away and sent it back with no sticker by them or the dealer and they put 0 time on the boat as I had wrote it down before it went back to get torn down unless they put so little on it the hrs didn't change.
The 2nd time it went back i had winterized it and the better dealer I deal with now put a sticker on it to show it was done by me and got it back with the same sticker still intact and plugs where i had left them in my glovebox. some dealers just don't care and not naming him but the only person that would reply to me from malibu didn't seem to care about anything either.

One thing I will mention that might help people out in the future with any dealer/manufacturer interactions.

Not saying this is what happened in the case with a couple here.

Attitude means everything. If you go into the situation acting like an a$$ people are put off and you tend to not get the greatest amount of attention or empathy. While it should not happen it is human nature and most people cannot work past that.

Also, posting your bitches/gripes on a forum, bashing the manufacturer, etc does not help with a final resolution. They watch these forums, I guarantee it.

Exactly what A22owner said.

I initially wasn't getting anywhere with their customer service hotline. It stemmed from how I was handling the situation. Once I recalibrate my technique (negotiation style) I was able to get more than my aspiration point was. Even more so when I met face to face upon pickup from factory.

Couldn't agree more, in this case the 3 phone calls i made in 9 month's doesn't seem excessive nor did I bitch , moan or complain to anyone at the factory. I asked only two questions through this entire process 1. Why did the hull fail 2. When can I expect my boat back. The answer to 1. was never given. 2. I have the boat back.

And forums are the BEST place to post any experience you have with a product or service, good or bad. If any company is paying attention ( as they should) and does not as you say "help with a final resolution" well that's just bad business and not in tune with the way things work in the real world today. Just my .02
