Hi guys I know there are multiple threads and I have read most but want to get your input on my setup and what may be worth trying. I know we are all chasing that allusive perfect wake set up or surf wave and many on here like Gibbs seem to have found it but I have not yet. I own a 16 t23 and we tried surfing for the first time this weekend. I ran rear 750s full, center hard tank full and front 550 bag as full as it can get without lifting seats. I had 9 people in the boat ( all in the cabin) the wave was huge but short and tall. It also didn't really seem to have a pipe on the port side more like a tall steep angled wall. Is this because of all the cabin weight? Do I need more bow weight? Also what speed do most surf at. We were trying between 10.6-11. Goal is to have a longer wave, don't care about height so much just want a good pocket to hold new riders in etc.. Thanks everyone! |

With that much cabin weight you need more up front and no wedge. Move 3 people to the bow and and spread everyone else out in the cabin. I run with small crews most of the time and 1100's rear with front bag full with 150lbs lead in the nose I also run a bag in the walkway usually a 400lbs. Lately I've just been putting a 155lbs cube sac there wave is on point. All situations are different let me know your elevation and water depth that plays a big roll in setup also. The T series boats and my 16 A20 all share the same bow sack under the cushions, that space can only accommodate around 400lbs. If you want the wave longer you def need more bow weight. Grab yourself a sumo 650 triangle bag or just move 3 peeps to the bow. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

I assumed the lack of bow weight may have been my issue. I never tried the wedge but I'm willing to bet with all my bags full, the 1500lb we had in passengers I wouldn't have been able to even get to speed with the wedge... Gibbs,elevation is about 1500ft and typical depth is 40-70ft depending on cove. Oh and I' put my packed down yeti in the walk thru ( 150+lb) |

Yea I put my yeti rear surf side. Depth is good but your at a bit more elevation than me. What motor and prop setup? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have been impressed this far, no issue pulling with the setups I have tried thus far and wakeboard well at 20+ with all bags full. |

I I will give that a shot, also what speed have you guys found typically has the best push etc? |
