Steve, Can you share the price and maybe the part number of the GPS Puck?? Thanks in advance.

I'll have to try and find the part number but it's not cheap. I got it for 10% over dealer cost because my wife worked at BoulderBoats here in AZ and it was still in the $700 range. Look at the pics I posted, that might be the part # on the pic of the puck upside down.

I believe one overrides the other. I really can't remember what happens if u select GPS over paddle wheel with out actually having the puck. Just test it out the next time you're out. It's easy to switch back and forth. I can say that I love GPS over PW. This is my 4th boat and my previous 3 all ran paddle wheels which I thought worked decent but GPS is much better IMO.

Only lakes over here in AZ, when I lived in CA I only rode the delta, never lakes so PW prob worked better than GPS since there is a slight current.

This may be a dumb question but where exactly do you select GPS or paddle wheel? I have a 15 a22 that came with GPS. I can't find the option in the menu

If you hold both buttons down on your left gauge it should go into a settings menu. You should be able to scroll down and see speed control, it should say paddle wheel or GPS depending on what's actually being used. If you want to change it just hit the right button I believe.

I don't have an option for "speed control"... The only option that has to do with speed is "calibrate speed". Is it different for 15s compared to other years?

Maybe under your dash you have a toggle switch to switch back and forth? Where is you're GPS puck located? When you switch you're screens in the gauge do you come across a clock and compass screen?

I found this from another thread. I think in 16 they updated firmware and added the option to the menu settings. 15 and under had a toggle switch under the dash somewhere. Image

Sweet thanks, I just did some testing (manually spinning the paddle wheel under the boat) and the speed remained at 0 when the puck was plugged in and it changed when I unplugged the puck. Im gonna look under the dash and find that switch though

So on a 2017, what is needed to add GPS/Clock/Compass functionality? Do I need to find an Axis/Malibu branded puck? And is that the $400 pricetag?
