We have a 2015 T23 and looking to downsize a bit a 2016 T23. We have some marina size restrictions and finding we just don't need the size (bought it mostly cause of the extra depth).
We don't want to compromise any performance if we downsize but thinking if they are the same hull and the weight diff is only 400lbs, It shouldn't but would like to hear from anyone who has info or tried both.

Thanks

I've done a bit of riding behind a '15 T22, we weighted it down alot and the wave was tall and reasonably long. (It was awesome)
I did buy / order a T23 only demo'd it but seems like the wave is longer did not have as much weight so wasn't as tall (I think also more behind the boat - the T22 wave seemed to angle out at a sharper 45* behind the boat not as direct behind if that makes sense, not sure that that matters just that I thought the T23 had a longer wave)

I have ridden both but it's not a fair comparison. The T22 I rode had full ballast but 750's rear and it was very good. I currently have a T23 with full ballast and 1100's in the rear also 3 extra 400's in the boat most times and it is huge with this setup. Wedge down on both.

I've never been in a T23 so no comparison but I have no complaints on my T22 wake/wave.

Gibbs...that's a ton of weight...do you just have bags all over? And post some pics of the wave!!

Only use the bags with a small crew 1 in walkway the other 2 in the cabin floor. Sometimes I move 1 to the bow depends on people. I'll get some pics for you.

Do you use the 650 bow bag attached to your PlugnPlay?

I don't know much about surf setups yet because I still wakeboard 100% of the time but what do you guys think of this wave? 2016 A20, stock 800 lbs ballast plus the T-Series P&P bow bag and P&P 550's in the rear.

Looks Good. The New A20 is very impressive. It looks very long and clean. The wave does look to be very steep with less wrap compared to the larger boats but if you where to surf a lot you would add more ballast which would help also.
