I personally wouldn't think that system will draw enough current (especially if using it while running) to justify an extra battery and the alternator is constantly charging so the external charger would be useless while underway. If you notice that while the system is really bumping you are getting a draw big enough to tax the electrical system (lights on dash dimming etc) then a stiffening capacitor would be how I would go.

Shawn I will be on the water tonight and look into the distribution block question for you. I honestly can't remember.

I float a lot so minimum of 3 batteries for me but like 4 better. If you just ride then 2 batteries is fine. I've never owned a boat that didn't come with less than 2 from the dealer. Onboard charger won't hurt for maintenance and inexpensive.

I feel like I have asked 100 questions but there are so many knowledgeable people on here when it comes to stereos! I have a new T22 with sound pack 2.

due to the head height I plan to grab a pair of rev 8's and replace one set of my icon 8's on my tower,(instead of rev 10's) I know it will be under powering them a little but I plan to power them by adding a dx2 amp for them, then run the ht2 to the sub and the ht6 to the inboats. my question is will the remaining 2 icons be unheard on the tower when beside the 2 revs? will it be ok to power them from the same amp? not sure if anyone has even tried this setup?

second question, has anyone swapped out their 6 inboats 65i's to xs 650's? is it worth the upgrade or would I be better off adding a set of 65i's to bring my inboats to 8 total?

My bet is that you will be happier replacing four icon 8s with 2 rev10s (i.e. swap two pair for one pair), assuming that you power that one pair well.

Yeah I would like the 10's but I am really wanting to keep the head Clarence where I don't have to duck the speakers every time. Kinda sold on the 8's because of that.

Shawn sorry the weather kicked up yesterday keeping us off the water. If someone hasn't answered by Friday I'll circle back then.

Shawn it does have a distribution block. 4ga input into 3 8ga outs. Only 2 of the 3 are being used right now in my 16 A22 so it does have another port to expand off of.

figured I would stay in this thread as I am still messing with my sp2. anyone swapped out the inboats to xs650's? thinking to run the 650's off of the ht6: the 12" sub off the ht 2 , and the new rev 8's off of an dx2 or sd 2 that would be added?

just curious if changing the inboats to 650's would be worth the cost or if anyone has done it? Im sure I could get a few hundred out of my 65i's and rev 8's to off set some of the cost?
