What are you guys using to reinforce the engine walls? I know this has been discussed many times.

I thought axis was now reinforcing the engine walls? We had 1100s in the demo T22 and no real divider flex.

Gibbs,

I'm just about done with my mod. I'm using 3/4 treated plywood for mine. Put a aluminum 1/2" "L" shape on the floor right up against the weak existing wall. I used short screws to hold it in the floor. I also put a piece on the back section where your bag connects, up against the weak made wall. I wrapped my plywood (on one side) with a black shipping blanket for now. I will put some poly batting and marine grade vinyl, latter on. Fabric.com seems to have some good prices and u really don't need that much material. I ran the plywood up to the top, allowing the top door to close. I used 1 1/8" deck screws, pre-drilled 3-holes on the top and bottom. The screws barely came through on the bottom, but we're fine on top. We tested it (one of them) on Sunday, no movement at all. I'm sure I could got away with regular plywood instead of treated, once i wrap it, but the weight will not matter in the rear end anyways. Plus I'm only wrapping the bag side, the other side will be up against the weak existing wall.

I just bought some 1" x 1/2 steel [ from the local metal place... Mounted them vertically on the engine side and riveted them on with SS rivets. Looks OEM and hold without a problem!

I just bought the metal bars from Wake Makers. They were pretty cheap and work really well

+1. Definitely the cheapest "mod" I've done on the boat and was super easy.

You will also want to reinforce the C channel that the divider sits in as it will turn allowing the divider to pop out. I used 2 small pieces of angle iron to support it and they work great.
