I have been investigating how to add surf gate to the boat and what bags to add. I already have the plug and play system.

Can't surf without the rope apparently with stock ballast only. WTH

There is a lot of info about other year boats on here but everything I have searched comes up short in regards to the 2013 boat.

Mission gear for the add on surf gate piece is not available for the 2013 either!

I am seeing differing opinions on the weight/type of bag to buy as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Adrian

Wicked Wake Surf has a surfgate add-on for 2013 boats. I built my own for my 2013 A20. Works AMAZINGLY well.

I use Sumo 900s in the rear and mushroom sac in the bow. All full, no wedge. Wave is BANGING.

Do you have pics of this set-up? Mushroom Sac?

Did you have to drill any holes with the wicked wake?

Thanks

im not trying to be rude or funny...but did you really expect to surf your non-surfgate A22 with only 200lbs in the hard tank WITHOUT any extra rear sacks?

My setup is 750 in rear compartments and 900 under front chillax area. Surf side rear completely full and front/center full with no wedge and no surfgate. I am in the process of building my own surfgate. I tried the camp on but with the angle of the 2013 platform it is very difficult to get it to stay attached with clamps.

This is the ballast bag which is specifically designed for Axis bow plug n play. Does you're boat have the plug n play option? If so, you hook the hoses up to the bag and then fill it with the switches on the dash.

http://www.boardstop.com/product_info.p ... cts_id=693

I'm not sure if drilling is necessary, I think they have an option for strapping it on too.

Just a beginner here so please forgive me not understanding the system or capabilities of the boat. The dealer made it sound like you could surf/wakeboard as is and add bags when you needed bigger for tricks like a pro so..........sorry AJ

Thanks yes I have the plug and play option with the boat. So this would take care of the front correct?

Am I correct to assume that currently the front switch does nothing because there is no bag there now.

So this would connect up and run off of the front switch correct?

Do I need any extra fittings or is the plug and play system ready for the bags?

What is recommended for the rear? I am assuming with running the bags in the lockers this storage area can no longer be used correct?

Thanks for all the help guys....hope to learn this fun sport soon and be knowledgeable to help others as well

Adrian

Aaaaah gotcha. Just get you at least 750's and you'll be able to surf with a little practice and experimenting. It appears the Wicked Wakesurf product has good results.

You may need a few fittings to make it work. Boarstop had a kit that you can purchase. Pm Admin and he will set you up or email wake makers and they will set you up.

I also run a 13 a22. I run a 800 ronix and factory in the surf side. Center full and the 950 bow bag full as it goes. With 2 people on the surf side. And surf rope less all the time. I all thinking of going to an 1100 bag on the surf side for when the wife and I are out by ourselves. Speed 10.2. Also I am in contact with mission gear about designing a gate to fit our boat. we surf regular
