I'm taking my boat in Tuesday for its first service and the dealer said they flush ALL the fluids, including the transmission. He said they do all the fluids because the factory puts in a different type of oil meant for break in only.

Anyways I asked him why the transmission fluid as in the manual it states it is meant to be to be "Maintenance Free". This is on page 30 of the manual. It says it should be checked after 25 hours and then annually. It also goes on to state the fluid should only be changed if evidence of contamination is present.


Sooo....my question is who has had their transmission fluid flushed/changed on a 2015 yet? I'm wondering if this is different than the 2014 and older boats because of different engine/trans and maybe the dealer just isn't aware of this yet or something. Another thing is I'm sure this is factoring in to my $350 quote for the service so if I can save a few bucks I'm glad to do so.

I had mine done at 13 hours. Dropped it off and said do whatever. Picked it up that night and they changed the engine oil and filter, I asked them about v drive and tranny fluid to which they said was not required. I've got 35 hours on it now with no issues.

I'm taking mine in Friday and it's $235. That's for ALL fluid change.
