Anybody using these triple fork racks on their Axis. Im considering one but have a couple things I'm not sure about. They are sold as a Malibu/G3 & Axis direct replacement. All of the Malibus I've seen have the bungee coming from the top over to the hook on the bottom while the Axis' I've seen have the bungee coming from the bottom up and over the top to the hook. I suppose it may not matter where the bungee is coming from as long as it gets wrapped around the boards. Is there any modification needed to make these work? Thanks.

Had one of these on my 13 A22 and had no issues with it. No modifications bolted straight on. Great rack for the price imo.

Heres a link
http://www.skylonsports.com/shop/wakebo ... ocker.html

As you can see from the photo, the hook for the bungee to attach to is on the bottom. I was concerned that since the hook on the original racks was on the top of the fork it might create a problem

I actually bought this one: http://www.skylonsports.com/shop/wakebo ... ished.html and it fit my slingshot SP fine. Looks like they don't list the spacing widths on the triple fork but my guess is it's the same 2 1/8" spacing. I would email them to confirm though.

It looks like you replaced the entire rack. I am looking at just the forks that bolt onto the rack and hoping this works out. I spoke to the company and they couldn't really answer the question about the orientation of the bungee and hook but did assure me they have sold plenty of them with no apparent issue. FWIW

What does it matter if the bungee is mounted on bottom or top...it works either way.

I had emailed them previously and asked the same question and the answer is....

"The forks offer 1 1/4" spacing top and bottom for wakeboards, and 2 1/8" in the center for surfboards."

Update, AJ is correct on this. If the bungee is long enough it won't matter where its base attachment point is and these do come with a longer bungee. The only thing that really changes is that instead of wrapping it from the bottom up and around and hooking on the top of the forks you will just go over the top and hook on the bottom of the forks. Ive only been out with these once but I think they are a great solution for board storage. I have an Inland Surfer and also a Byerly Volt and both fit the spacing of the forks just fine. These forks are a bit bigger and heavier (extra board) and could cause your rack to swing open on its own more easily if that is a problem for you. I had this problem before i added the triple fork. I guess that will be the next project.
