Axis Wakeboard Boat Forum

Got out 12' a22 with the LS3 last month and have used it almost every weekend. The boats been absolutely great. I was wiping down the engine and found the top alternator bolt, half way loosened up. I went to tighten it and it just kept spinning. I then removed the bolt and found that half the threads may be broken off in the block. The biggest problem, is the aluminum block and steel bolt. I'm guessing it will have to be drilled out and heli-coiled.

Now, apparently I have been using the boat with it like this, so do you all feel it would be safe to run the boat until I take it in for warranty? Obviously, I will carry the right wrench and keep and eye on it.

I have a bunch of warranty work that needs to be done like lights, seat cushions, etc but those are cosmetic only. I wanted to wait until the end of summer so it can be in and out.
