How does the boat drive with the wedge in the other position? Does it help planing or does it hinder it?

Def hinders while trying to plane off but that is only because you are getting so much more downward force... Driving quality is still the same... It's still a Malibu product!

I have not noticed a difference really, but with that being said we ordered our A22 with the torque prop. That thing is a beast. I havent been running a lot of weight yet either. Give me 9 more hrs and ill give an update with a lot of weight in it.

I still want to see a definitive video showing what position the wedge is riding in.

I just pulled the two bolts on mine and the wedge comes all the way down and hits the end of the rudder. I tried putting the bolts in the other two holes and it doesn't look it makes much better than the original holes.

Question it all you want and it doesn't look like it makes that much of a difference in bolt location... Until you drop it in the water and see...

Here's what we did for "testing" lol

Wedge down no ballast (shaped up nicely actually really nice considering there was no ballast def different than before)

Wedge down... Stock ballast full + plug n play Ronix 800's filled to about 700 and Sumo 950 bow + 400 Eight.3 in bow.... It was massive.

Picked up our buddy that's an excellent rider and didn't tell him about the new wedge setting just let him think it was down (dirty I know) we wanted a unbiased opinion... He rode one set... Said the wake was great... I said ok cool but now were gonna drop the wedge. He rides behind my boat all the time and has since I bough it new.

He was then blown away... Blew his mind and he said what we said... The wake has never been that well defined and that big with that nice of a lip.

You can definitely feel it "digging" more but it's not a bad feeling... Just feels like your getting the most out of the wedge now.

Believe it if you want... Question it if you want... Ask for video proof... Whatever... All I know is it works and its great.

For the record I'm realistic and was perfectly set in my mind that it probably wouldn't do anything but it definitely did.

Did anyone ever hear back from the Malibu engineers on this?
