So after seeing the boat almost a month ago at the factory, we finally got delivery last week. There were a couple problems that delayed my delivery time and one them was the fuel line issue that AJwest mentioned in another thread. So the boat spent some time on the lot waiting it's turn to have the new fuel line installed. So once that was fixed and my dealer finally got the boat, he discovered that there were problems with the skybox seating fitting too tight between the side cushions. There were also several spots on the gel coat that need fixing as well as the swim platform wasn't cut smoothly.
So with that being said I give Malibu and my dealer props! I know that your saying "what?" "Props?" Yes! Malibu chose to keep the boat there and fix the fuel line at the factory and for that I am greatful. Now as far as the mistakes with the skybox, swim platform and gelcoat...everybody is human and people make mistakes and I give them props for recognizing it and fixing it promptly. My dealer discovered all this on a Friday. Called Malibu late Friday and made them aware of the problems and they sent someone from the factory and picked the boat up first thing Monday morning. It was back in my dealers hands on Wednesday! Granted my dealer is only 120 miles or so away from Malibu...but kudos to them for making it right and doing it very quickly! So without further ado...

I just picked up my t22 also. I noticed that I have allot of the same issues that you have. My swim platform was also not cut smooth. My gel coat looks like it has some over spray in it. One issue mine has that you did not mention is that the interior in my boat seem like most of the seams were pulled too tight and you can already see the holes that the stitching goes through. It looks like it is gonna start to tear away. My dealer sent pictures to malibu and I'm waiting to hear what he finds out what they will do. Have a look at your seams for me and let me know if you notice if yours are done better than mine are.

My A24 had some rough spots on quite a few area of my gel coat as well. Whoever is doing the polishing of the gel coat after it comes out of the mold is doing a very piss poor job (my dealer took care of it and had their service guys polish it out smooth and shiny). This also leaves the question of who is really doing a quality control check prior to heat wrapping our boats. I mean seriously, about 20-25% of the sides of my boat felt rough, so rough that a microfiber towel actually gripped onto the side of my boat. Mi u and Axis is not pumping out boats so fast that the QC person can't rub their hand down the gel coat in less than 1-1/2 to 2 min to feel for rough spots.

My skybox seating is way to tight too. I think I will see how it is in a month or so and decide if I want it fixed. I noticed some bad spots on the interior trim. I am going to document with pics and let the dealer know, but summer is finally coming so I don't want them to send the boat back right now. Also, rusted trailer wheels. I was a little dissapointed some of this stuff gets out the door....

So far I haven't noticed anything with the gel coat. T22rider- I have that too. My wife took some pics but we haven't sent them yet. I also have noticed a really loud whine when we use the bluetooth.
