Yes It worked for me, you do have to re-calibrate the Surfgate once in the water to make it work again with the new gauge, it took me a while to figure that out.

Cool. I called my dealer and told him this. This is the first tach they have replaced for this issue. He told me last night that he had one in stock. I am just hoping it is the updated version and not the old version like mine. It will definitely be nice to have the cruise fixed. Over the 4th I sent a picture of my speedometer to the dealer. I had the set speed at 21.4mph and the actual speed was pulling at 23.5mph with it surging between 23.0 and 24.0mph.

Mine doesn't surge at all now - its spot on now and only varies by .1-.3mph.

It is the tach, I just got mine back last week and the speed holds within .2 mph now.

I had them replace my tach last week. I got out on the lake on Friday to test it. I thought at first it was running fine so I broke out the GPS to calibrate the speedo. I needed to make a 10% increase on the speedo to get it calibrated correctly. After that, it was doing the same thing again. I would set it at 21.4 and the boat would pull at 23.5mph. I checked the speed several times with two different gps. One was my phone, the other was a car Garmin gps unit. Anybody else have this issue after they calibrated their speedo?

Also, it seems like my surfgate isn't working. I tried to calibrate it but nothing happened when I selected the calibration option. It looks like it is going back to the dealer tomorrow to get the bugs worked out and hopefully the cruise control issue resolved also.

Sounds like the same issue... I calibrated mine with an app on my phone and adjusted it -2 I think. No issues at all now.

Update on this. My dealer installed the wrong tach (I told him to verify it was the most up-to-date). The new tach should be the newest out there.

Hmmmm, how did your dealer get ahold of an older software tach if they did in fact order a "new" tach? Just seems weird.
