I talked to Acme about the props again a few weeks ago. They recommend the 1235. There is a little cheaper option but for the money they tell me to go with the 1235. Same as with the VLX malibu.

you dont think the 1615 would be advisable, when i go to the lake i usually have at least 10 people with me, I just want to make sure i dont have a problem getting to speed. yesterday with all tanks full, wedge down, the 2 400# locker bags and the front bag half full with three people in the boat and it took almost a minute or more to get to speed, I usually ride at 22mph because im still learning and im a little timid to get crazy yet, but im getting more and more brave the more time i get on the rope.

walter - try the front bag 3/4 full, stock tanks full, wedge down and about 1/3 to half the plug and play locker sacs full. You may be able to get on plane with that (until you get a new prop) and still have a killer wake with a lot of pop.

so what prop should i get the 1235 or the 1615, i just don't want to spend 500 bucks more than once to get this thing propped right, and on a side note when im cruising across the lake i usually never go over 30mph at any time, i've only given the boat full throttle once and that was just to check top speed, I try to keep the rpm under 4000

nevermind i just checked the specs on the 1235 and its the same as the one my boat came with, the vandall edition boat comes with their "high altitude" prop which is 14.5 & 14.25, im gonna have to get the more aggressive one

If you can't get out of the hole with the 1235, your boat is probably in safe mode. when the service required alarm comes on it goes into safe mode and the boat will not go above a certain RPM. The 1235 should be enough prop. I have the larger motor but we have loaded our Axis with more then plug and play + wedge and have no problems what so ever -we have the 1235. Ask your dealer about the "service required" alarm.

My boat would get out of the hole with the 1235 loaded partially and no wedge. I have to have the 1615 to run fully loaded. It also helped my fuel consumption because it doesn't strugle as hard to get on plane.
