I am seeking advise on where are the best places to find a loan if buying from a dealer new or used? How about from an individual?

I am trying to gather information for a future purchase.

Thanks

I had financing all secured through Essix Credit Union. My dealer found me a better rate via Bremmer Bank, which allowed him to give me a better price. In this case Bremmer wanted this type of business so they offset some of the cut in price I wanted.

https://www.essexcredit.com/home/boat/ (has some of the best rates, required more down for me)

https://www.newcoast.com/ (good rates, financed more, worked with me)

I found the best rate to be a local federal credit union. They did the term I wanted and at less than 5%. I had to call all around town and reseach for about a week, but feel it was worth it.

I used my credit union and got 4.8% for 10 years

If you meet any of the criteria to get a membership with USAA, check them out. I was able to get my boat loan at 4.2% with them.

Credit union. 5 years. 2.44%. This was 2011, but it was MUCH better than anything else out there. Shoot, I financed my car for 1.99% for four years.
